Our History
The Covenant Renewal Altar Ministry was founded on the 12th of July, 1998, at Hunters, along Kasarani-Mwiki road. The first service was held in a private rented room and was attended by 9 adults and 11 children.
The growth was slow but steady, and by September 2000 there was a revival that broke out with transformation of lives and the area that was known to be a hard spot for gospel started opening up to it. Thereafter, the growth became so sporadic that we had to move to a bigger room to accommodate the new numbers.
In July 2001, we entered an agreement to lease a piece of land nearby and we constructed our first structure. The residents were supportive with many contributing in one way or another to the construction. The grand match to the premises brought a numerical increase to more than 100 congregants.
Our stay here was short as we were blessed with the finances to purchase our current piece of land on September 4, 2002. The ground breaking ceremony for the permanent sanctuary was done on October 14, 2002. The premises also hold our primary school project that is now upto standard 8.
God has been faithful and today we are blessed to have 16 branches across the country.
